Old photos

My sisters were visiting last weekend so we went to the White Elephant Flea Market. I went through a box of old family photos—I'd normally feel a little weird about digging through someone's old things, but I've been practicing being more open-minded — and I pulled out ones that I found sentimental. The ones I found interesting  were individual portraits (who took the photo and why there?), group gatherings (what was the occasion, what merits a group photo?), reminded me of Tahoe, or just plain made me laugh.

That looks like a refreshing, well earned beer!

That everyone's faces are in the shadows makes me laugh. And the one to the right of it is just so dang tiny! The size of a stamp.

I wonder what the gathering was about, and why this baby needed to be hosed down...

The back of the photo says: "I was supposed to be in the picture too, but one of the neighbors took it, and didn't get camera over far enough. Sorry as we wanted one of the whole family"

And this one, my older sister picked out. Sweet, no?
